Signal Readiness and Types
What a workspace needs before Signals fire, how each signal type is triggered, and how to switch types on or off.
Signals fire on their own from SaaSFunnels's built-in signal types. There is nothing to start or activate: once the workspace has the data a type needs, every account is checked as events arrive and again in a daily rescore.
Readiness
The Signals tab shows a readiness checklist until the workspace has its first signal. Signals start once all three are in place:
| Step | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Stripe connected | Tells SaaSFunnels each account's plan, payments, and revenue. |
| Billing history synced | Lets signals compare behavior with past upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations. |
| Events tied to accounts | Shows what each account does in your product. Send events through the Web SDK or Direct API with an account identifier. |
Each unfinished step links to the setup page that completes it.
Signal types
Each signal type belongs to a motion:
| Motion | Examples |
|---|---|
| Convert | Trial accounts reaching activation, checkout intent, free-to-paid readiness. |
| Grow | Usage near a plan limit, seat growth, premium feature interest. |
| Save | Payment failure, usage dropping on a paid plan (contraction risk), cancellation intent, support friction. |
Every type states its real trigger: the events, Stripe data, counts, percentages, and day windows it checks, plus its cooldown before it can fire again for the same account.
Signal settings
Open Signals > Settings to review the signal types. Workspace admins can:
- Switch a signal type on or off.
- Edit the counts and percentages in its conditions.
Day windows are fixed. Members can view the settings but not change them.
Account intelligence and Funnels
Account intelligence remains a contextual capability, not a separate product destination. It refreshes daily from product events, account facts, and billing outcomes and appears in Accounts and in Funnel targeting.
Deterministic facts and explicit product events can directly control Funnel eligibility. Predictions, sentiment, and derived KPIs are initially ranking and explanation inputs. Funnel targeting on intelligence fields uses the workspace's minimum confidence; low-confidence or stale evidence fails safely to a deterministic path or no render.
Models cannot publish a Funnel, enable an external destination, decide that a browser user has billing authority, mark a commercial action successful, or override verified billing, entitlement, identity, or outcome truth.
